Call for World Association of Young Scientists Sustainable Development Goals Award

The World Association of Young Scientists (WAYS) is collaborating with the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS) to launch the World Association of Young Scientists because it recognizes that the future of science and technology depends on today’s youth.

Qualifications

1. Candidates should demonstrate important, innovative achievements and outstanding contributions to the implementation of one or more United Nations SDGs through research in the natural sciences or through notable applied engineering support; or

2. Candidates should take part in or initiate international cooperation through big science programs and international cooperation projects related to the implementation of the United Nations SDGs, producing excellent output or the transformation of their results into significant social or economic benefits.

Review Procedure

The Review Procedure consists of four stages: Primary Screening, Primary Evaluation, Re-Evaluation and Final Evaluation.

1. The Primary Screening shall be conducted based on the “Scientific Contributions to Sustainable Development Index” with the use of artificial intelligence to screen and form a preliminary list of candidates.

2. The candidates on the Primary Evaluation List shall be subjected to expert evaluations by the Review Committee, with selected candidates moving to the Re-Evaluation Recommendations List.

3. The winning candidates shall be reviewed and determined by the Managing Committee under the Guidance of the Steering Committee.
