There are many different types of Ashden winners. They reward potential, passion, and a dedication to the ideals rather than the largest organisations or the most polished sales speeches. They’ve featured winners in international media and on stages during the COP climate discussions.

  • Monetary prize of either £10,000 or £25,000, depending on the specific award category.

Eligibility Criteria: Businesses, NGOs, government entities, and social enterprises, encompassing both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, including community groups, are eligible to apply. Each award is restricted to projects operating in specific geographical regions.

To be considered for shortlisting and to secure an award, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. The submitted work for an award should currently be accessible to customers, clients, or beneficiaries.
  2. Applicants must demonstrate innovation in their approach to the submitted work.
  3. The applicant’s work should have the potential for significant impact, achievable through organizational growth or the global replication of their innovative practices. Applicants must be open to collaborating with Ashden and others to realize this objective.
  4. The applicant must exhibit good governance and management practices, emphasizing the efficient use of funds and a robust plan to generate additional income, whether through sales, grants, or other sources. Organizations can be either for-profit or not-for-profit. Sustainability must be ingrained in the values and practices of the winners.
