In order to advance Indigenous solutions to climate change and conservation challenges in the United States, The Liberated Capital is seeking proposals from organizations and tribes that are headed by indigenous peoples that are building political power, movements, and leading campaigns.

Funding for Indigenous self-determination, sustainable food systems, land and forest management, water conservation, and climate advocacy includes movement-building, land and forest management, and research, valuing sovereign tribal governments and partnering with them.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Indigenous-led organizations/coalitions, tribes, Native Hawaiian, and Inuit-led organizations are eligible for grants.
  • Grants must be paid to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or federal tribal entity, and must be used for charitable purposes. Grantee partners are prioritized.
