For innovative, proof-of-concept solutions to the most pressing problems caused by climate change, the CO2 Foundation is inviting letters of inquiry (LOIs).
In order to maintain social, economic, and cultural stability, it is necessary to make both long-term investments in reducing emissions across society and short-term, efficient responses to extreme weather risks. Regional functionality and integration are necessary for the United States response system to function, but they are under jeopardy in an era of accelerating climate disruption. If a region is similarly hit by extreme weather that is aggravated by the environment, it cannot depend on other parts of the nation.
The relationship between climate change and more frequent, intense, protracted, and disruptive extreme weather events is becoming increasingly well known to the general public. As the threat assessment continues to change, The CO2 Foundation focuses on assisting leaders in all communities in understanding effective climate responses.
Before submitting a proposal, they ask you to get in touch with the Executive Director to go over the financing priorities at the moment.
They plan to support initiatives that:
Sharing information : Inform the people on the hazards that their communities face due to extreme weather, climate change, and resilience measures.
Boost stability: Create theoretical and practical strategies for boosting political and organisational stability in the face of disasters caused by climate change.
Strategically deploy: Promote efficient responses to extreme weather events that are occurring more frequently and intensely.
